We are proud to share that our Director, Colin MacLean, has marked the beginning of the 2025 Poppy Appeal with a heartfelt tribute at the historic Hadleigh War Memorial in Chapel Lane.
To commemorate the start of this year’s Appeal, Colin has created a striking wall of poppies, a symbol of remembrance and gratitude for those who have served and sacrificed for our country. This moving display stands as a reminder of the enduring spirit of community and remembrance that unites us all.
This project is the first of three special Remembrance initiatives organised by Colin. Over the coming days, he will be launching two further commemorative displays:
Hockley Remembers, thousands of hand-knitted poppies will adorn the railings at Spa Road, Hockley
Thundersley Remembers, another stunning poppy display will appear along Hart Road, Thundersley

Together, these displays will feature thousands of knitted poppies, each one representing a heartfelt tribute from members of our local community. These projects not only honour the fallen but also bring people together through creativity, reflection, and shared remembrance.
We invite everyone to visit the displays over the coming weeks and take a moment to remember.
Lest We Forget.
