Books, Daffodils & Glasses
Our Hockley office has a great reputation within the local area for supporting a number of community initiatives, they were awarded the community business of the year by the judges from Hockley Parish Council last time. Here are a few of our projects.
Lockdown Library - If you have finished a great book and rather than leave it at home gathering dust would like to donate it to our 'Lockdown Library' please do, the box which is attached to our office wall is visited many times a day and we see hundreds of books pass through our community every month. Paperbacks are particularly popular. We also have a stock of new reading glasses to hand out courtesy of one of our neighbours.
Marie Curie Daffodils - Local residents help us raise money for Marie Curie by creating these wonderful knitted and crochet daffodils, we ask for just a small donation to the charity in return for taking one home.
Hockley Reading Trail - We still have a couple of weeks left for the reading trail so please do pop in and collect an entry form, spend half an hour collecting all the letters from the Village shop windows and return with the completed puzzle to collect a free of charge reading book, as simple as that.
