Remembering the Past, Protecting the Future: Holocaust Memorial Day 2026

Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 calls us to remember the victims of genocide, honour survivors, and reaffirm our shared responsibility to challenge hatred and prejudice.
Remembering the Past, Protecting the Future: Holocaust Memorial Day 2026
Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 invites us to pause and remember the six million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust, as well as the millions of others who were persecuted and killed by the Nazi regime and its collaborators. It is a day of remembrance, reflection, and learning, reminding us of the devastating consequences of hatred, prejudice, and indifference.

As the number of living survivors continues to decline, the responsibility to preserve their stories and honour their experiences becomes ever more important. Remembering the Holocaust is not only about acknowledging the past; it is about recognising our shared duty to stand against antisemitism, racism, and all forms of discrimination today. By educating ourselves and future generations, we help ensure that these atrocities are neither forgotten nor repeated.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, we come together in solidarity to affirm our commitment to dignity, compassion, justice, and humanity, and to renew the promise of “never again” for all people.
