Sit Here, Breathe, Reset” – Supporting Mental Wellbeing at Thundersley Common
To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, Colin MacLean from Amos Estates has created a thoughtful and meaningful space at Thundersley Common by decorating a public bench with the message: “Sit Here, Breathe, Reset.” A green ribbon was also added as a symbol of mental health awareness and to encourage people to think of others who may be struggling at the moment.

The initiative aims to remind the local community of the importance of taking time out, slowing down and checking in on both ourselves and those around us. In today’s fast-paced world, even a few quiet moments outdoors can make a real difference to our wellbeing.

Beautiful local green spaces such as Thundersley Common provide the perfect setting to pause, reflect and enjoy a sense of peace and tranquillity. Whether it’s a short walk, a moment on a bench or simply appreciating nature, small actions can have a positive impact on mental health and emotional wellbeing.
