Hockley is a large village and civil parish in Essex and is located between Chelmsford and Southend-on-Sea.
Hockley is an Anglo Saxon word meaning small hill and there is still a large wooded area located close to our office called Hockley Woods. There are particular building’s within the village which are to be mentioned such as; The Church of St Peter and Paul, which was possibly built before the twelfth century, a thirteenth-century chancel and a fourteenth-century tower.
